The League is a Veteran's organization, composed of Marines and former
Marines with honorable service. It aims to perpetuate the traditions
and spirit of the United States Marine Corps through it's membership.
The League was organized in 1923, and has been chartered by an act of
the US Congress. The Marine Corps League performs most of it's services
on a local level through programs of benefit to the community: in
assisting Veterans, young Marines, youth physical fitness, Veteran's
Administration volunteer service, wounded warriors, Toys for Tots,
scholarships, and a staunch supporter of observing national holidays,
such as Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, and many other activities in the
interest of our country.
"Some people live an entire lifetime wondering if they’ve made a difference in the world, Marines don’t have that problem."
President Ronald Reagan
